I'm celebrating my 42nd lap around the sun next year, and you've been a meaningful part of my story, so I wanted you to be one of the first to know. The idea is that you and your significant other/family will be able to use this as a time for a long weekend or vacation here in Miami, and yeah spend some time with me over dinner/drinks.

Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in baseball. He was so excellent in athleticism and character that he not only pushed the game of baseball forward, he pushed society forward. He donned the number 42, which carried such weight that Major League Baseball (MLB) retired the number 42 league-wide (meaning no athlete could wear the number). The last player to be able to wear the number 42 in the MLB was Mariano Rivera, a Panamanian immigrant whose excellence on the mound (and the way he carried himself off the mound) led him to becoming the only player in the history baseball to be unanimously voted into the Hall of Fame. Navigating the racial issues, a character of excellence, and my heritage all led the #42 to being important to me

If you're here, you're probably aware of my appreciation for abundant thinking. As somewhat of a math nerd, I learned that 42 is an abundant number. Its components (divisors) when added together are greater than the number itself - this is a pretty rare occassion. And that's the energy I've always felt about the relationships that have made me who I am today. The abundance of relationships that have brought me incredible joy over the years, have created something far greater than I ever would have been able to accomplish on my own

You know I'm not much of a science fiction nerd, but in a Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy they learn that the number 42 is the answer life, the universe, and everything. Need I say more?
